Mount Ruwenzori, Mountains of the Moon
The Rwenzori Park is a splendid world of ice and snow, with its massive ice-rime sculptures and mind-boggling vegetation, and arguably surpasses other afro-alpine areas in its beauty, wonder and interest to mountaineering enthusiasts. This park, covering 996 sq. kms. provides a magnificent environment for both experienced climbers and casual day hikers. These legendary mountains exhibit spectacular scenic beauty and provide a unique habitat for many rare and indigenous plants and animals. The Highest mountain in the range, Mt. Stanley, is the third highest in Africa after Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Kenya. Its highest peak, Margharita, rises 5,109 m above sea level. The giant lobelia and the groundsell are hallmarks of the Rwenzori. All of the above make this park an unforgettable visitor destination.

Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa Highest Peak
This is Africa's highest mountain and the most awesome sight. Snowcapped and not yet extinct, at (5895m / 91340ft), it is surrounded by rain forest and is home to many animals such as Elephants, Buffaloes, Rhinos, Leopards, and Monkeys. Monkeys and Elands are the only animals that can be seen at the summits of Mawenzi and Kibo Peaks.
The snow-capped peak, the dream of scaling the summit, watching dawn break and gazing out over the vast African wildlife, plains and bushland is an experience not to be missed. Kilimanjaro can be trekked at any time of the year, however, there is usually a lot of rain during April, May and November which makes trekking even more challenging.Send us an emal to make a reservation

Mt Kenya, Africa's second highest mountain
Africa's second highest mountain at 5,199m forms part of the central highlands and is a very complex mountain. It has more than one peak, many rock spires and summits. Of the three main peaks (Batian, Nelion and Lenana) only Point Lenana can be reached by trekkers, the other two being only for technical climbers.
Although Mount Kenya can be climbed all year round, it is best to avoid the two rainy seasons from mid-March until June and from late October to the end of December. After the cultivated farmlands on the lower slopes the trails pass through the rain forest, rich in trees of many species but noticeably camphor's, then onto a bamboo zone growing to heights of more than 12m or more, up through open moorland before reaching the moonscape of the higher slopes. The forest are rich in wildlife including elephant, buffalo and monkeys with even the moorlands offering along list of mammals including the rock hyrax, the nearest living relative of the elephant.
