Terms & Conditions...
Tour prices quoted in this website include:
Planning, handling and operational charges. It also includes
full board accommodations, inclusive of all government
taxes, baggage handling, local departure taxes, ground
transportation, vehicle entry fees, park entry fee and
bottled water and soft drinks where specified. African Spice
Safaris reserves the right to increase tour prices to cover
increased costs, tariffs and taxes and to reflect
fluctuations in foreign exchange markets. It also includes
the Flying Doctors Emergency Service within East Africa.
Not included in quoted tour price
Any international air fare outside KENYA, TANZANIA AND
UGANDA, cost of obtaining passport or visas, personal
expenses such as beverages (except bottled water and soft
drinks), laundry, room service, gratuity for the local tour
leader and driver guide, excess baggage fees, communication
charges, personal insurance cover (Travelers should have
medical insurance as they will be responsible for all
medical expenses they may incur). Optional activities such
as trip extensions. Baggage is at the owners risk throughout
the tour.
Payment.
Registration and booking for all programs requires a deposit
of 35% on any tour arrangement at the time you book. The
balance or reminder of the cost of your trip is to be paid
45 days prior to your departure date. Payment in full is
required when bookings are made within 45 days of departure.
Cancellation and no show fee
Cancellations received by Ketty Travels (T) Limited
45 days prior to departure are subject to a cancellation fee
of 25% of the total safari. Cancellation received less than
45 days prior to departure will be subject to the following
cancellation fees:
45 - 30 days 25% of the tour cost
29 - 15 days 50% of the tour cost
14 - 0 days 100% of the tour cost
NB:
Please note that there is a minimal non-refundable
administration fee for handling all the safari programs.
This fee is 10% of the deposit.
Unused services
Refunds will not be made for any missed tour service or
unused portion of the program. Adjustments will not be made
for unused sight seeing trips or meals. It is understood and
agreed that refunds will not be made to passengers who do
not complete the tour for any reason whatsoever.
Alterations to tours
Ketty Travels (T) Limited reserves the right to alter
arrangements of the route or to cancel the operation of a
scheduled tour should conditions necessitate. It also
reserves the right to decline or retain any person as a
member of any tour any time, and to pass on to tour members
any expenditure or losses caused by delays or events beyond
its control.
Liability
Ketty Travels (T) Limited acts only as an agent of
the passenger in all matters relating to tours and it
accepts no responsibility for any personal illness, injury,
death, accidents, delay, loss, damage or irregularity of any
kind which may be occasioned by reason of any act or
omission beyond its control, including without limitations
acts of negligence or breach of contract of any third party
such as hotel, airline, who does supply any goods or
services for the trip. Ketty Travels (T) Limited will
not be responsible for any losses or expenses due to delay
or change in schedule, overbooking of accommodations, fault
of any third party sickness, weather, strikes, acts of God
or for any other cause beyond its control. All such losses
or expenses are to be borne and paid for by the passenger.
The Kenyan and Tanzanian laws govern the passengers carried
in its own vehicle and all claims are subject to the
jurisdiction of the Kenyan and Tanzanian courts.
Whilst every care is taken the company will not be held
responsible for loss or damage to baggage, personal effects
or valuables or currencies. The company reserves the right
to employ sub-contractors for all or part of the services.
Porterage and Baggage
The tour rate includes the transport and handling of two
pieces of luggage per person not exceeding a total of 40
pounds. Baggage is restricted to 2 standard size bags while
on safari due to space in the van and road conditions. Most
hotels have left luggage lockers for excess baggage.
Insurance
It is a condition of booking that one has adequate travel
insurance cover plan from home for the entire duration of
ones stay while in East Africa. This plan should be designed
to provide financial protection in a number of circumstances
such as unforeseen medical circumstances that force you to
cancel or interrupt your safari, loss of delayed luggage,
medical assistance and hospitalization.
Surcharge
Due to the variety of accommodations and rates available, a
surcharge for any upgraded accommodations will be levied
upon any request.
